Keep in mind that you are now responsible for the healing process.
Here is our advice to ensure your tattoo always looks its best!
Take good care
Tattoo Healing
You have fresh INK and now its your moment to take good care and let the healing begin. Read this carefully and start doing this right away.
If you have any questions or abnormalities please contact us.
The entire healing and recovery period takes approximately 40-60 days.
- Before caring for your tattoo, make sure you've washed your hands.
- Make sure your area is clean and there are no animals around you , even if it is your pets. Animals carry a variety of bacterias that can cause tattoo infection.
- It is strongly recommended not to: stay in the sun for long with an open tattoo.
- Do not visit a sport tanning/gym , sauna, pool, or swim in salt water.
- Do not apply no others creams, gels, sunscreen to the tattoo, unless recommended by your artist.
- Do not cover the tattoo with plastic film ! Oxygen is essential for the healing process.
1-3 days after the session
For the first couple of days after the session, your tattoo will ooze some blood and ink. This is normal during this period
- Wash your tattoo thoroughly and carefully with luke warm water and the soap recommended by your artist, 3 times a day.
- Let it dry for 10-20 minutes (it's very important not to apply cream to wet skin).
- Apply a thin layer of cream and make bandage as recommended by your artist. (Note: don't apply too much cream; this won't help your tattoo heal faster, but will actually slow it down. A thick layer of cream will prevent your tattoo from receiving oxygen, which is essential during this process. A thick layer of crem increases the risk of infection.
Days 4-9 after the session
Around this time, your skin begins the regeneration process and will start to peels off the damaged top layer. It’s very important during this period:
- Avoid long showers. Wash your tattoo! But be careful, as hot water and prolonged showers can complicate the healing process and cause dis-coloration, infection etc.
- Avoid scratching or picking at the tattoo. It should peel naturally. Otherwise, this will lead to dis-coloration and a wound.
- Wash the tattoo 2-3 times a day, then let it dry for about 20 minutes.
- During this stage, it's advisable to use cream as little as possible, a maximum of 2 times a day, in a very thin layer.
Days 10-60 after the session
In most cases, after 9 days, your tattoo is almost healed. The top layer of dry skin on the tattoo has peeled off, and now you need to help your skin recover.
- Apply a thin layer of cream to the tattoo twice a day. If you have dry skin and the cream absorbs quickly, you can apply the cream 3-4 times a day (only after your artist's recommendation).
- Wash the tattoo when you shower. You no longer need to wash it separately 3 times a day.
- After 30 days, the tattoo cream can be replaced with a natural oils or moisturizer (after consultation with your artist).
Respect the rules
Let nature do the trick
If you respect what your tattoo needs to heal and let the skin recover the result will be amazing and you will have a beautiful ornament for life. Otherwise you can end up having a scar for life.
